About Me
Andrew John Kim (Andrew Siribansop) is a vocal arranger and producer based in New York City. He received his Bachelor of Music in Music Composition from Northwestern University and Masters in Music in Film Scoring from NYU. He also received an MBA from NYU Stern. At Northwestern, he was a founding member and three-year music director of Northwestern's Extreme Measures.
Andrew began his professional a cappella career as a recording engineer/producer working with high school, collegiate, professional a cappella groups around the country. During this time, he produced over 50 albums and EPs.
In 2013, Andrew founded, music directed, produced, and arranged for professional Pop a cappella group, Backtrack Vocals, which boasts over 13 million views and 113,000 subscribers on YouTube. With Backtrack, Andrew performed at Carnegie Hall, the Beacon Theatre, the UN, during a Broadway show (Kinky Boots), and on the Steve Harvey Show.
Andrew also founded, manages and arranges for the Iris Vocal Trio, winners of the 2018 International A Cappella Open hosted by Varsity Vocals and the 2023 Harmony Sweepstakes Mid-Atlantic Regional. Through the Aca Open, Andrew has won 3 Best Arrangement awards (2017 Semis, 2018 Semis, 2018 Finals) and 2 Best Vocal Percussion awards (2018 Semis, 2018 Finals).
During the summer, Andrew is a co-director and the arranger for the A Cappella program at Camp KO. Over two weeks, campers make a music video and perform two shows in Blue Back Square and on the Kingswood-Oxford campus.
